Race for world cup ticket:game on......

After a humiliating defeat at centurian despite of Sachin's 50th ton,finally team India beat the proteos at Durban.Team India played very well in each and every department than their counter part South Africa.The test will be remembered for 'Very Very Special' Laxman's heroic innings,full flow of Indian seamers and also Bhajji's classics.Again this test will remind the failure of Murali Vijay and Cheteswar Pujara.However India gained its overall 2nd victory at the SA soil.On Last 2006 tour we won the 1st test at j'berg after a ODI brown wash 0-4 aganist the host SA.That test had the memorable peformances of dada and malabar express(sreesanth).But India lost the remaining tests.Hope MSD will not repeat those mistakes.Now we should proceed towards the team selection of world cup.Two tests has been played after the announcement of priliminary squad.People may say that it is unjustified to judge players for just 1 or 2 games,but if yusuf picked for one century at final game then why not ?Before the selection India will play 1 T20 and 3 ODI's aganist SA.I had earlier doubted that lower middle order will face problems at South Africa and that happens. Both Raina(ODI specialist, but forced to display test temperament) and Pujara(future Laxman) both failed to make a mark.But I think it's not over for Pujara as am sure that he will get another chance in the 3rd test.Raina will have to wait for the T20 and ODI's to justify his WC candidature.Vijay missed his oppertunity but still a contender for WC berth as it will depend on selectors whether they will pick keeper-batsman parthiv(Chota Hayden) or batsman Vijay(Tamilnadu-lobby ) as additional opener.Yuvraj,who has been struggling for form benefited for not playing this test series and will be given preference over Raina in the middle order in upcoming ODI series.Sreesanth and Ishant played good but with expensive average.They have to work hard to break the ice.It is my personal opinion that selectors will face difficulty to pick seamer for the world cup.Finally congratulation to 'god' Sachin for 50th ton and best of luck to men-in-blue for 3rd test.HAPPY NEW YEAR.

On 18th december the Indian team of 30 probable players announced for upcoming world cup.Like other cricket fans I want to analyse the selection.I saw various media raised the exclusion of Dravid,Uthappa and Irfan Pathan.Dravid,I dont know why krish srikant does not pick u in the squad.I still expect some disaster in the current SA tour,especially in the middle order.On january selectors may regret but there are Rahane and Pujara available to replace your position.I will really miss u Mr Wall.Robin Uthappa,u look like a giant more than a player.I think u have not got much oppertunity to make an impact.Some experts mentioned about your additional wicket keeping skills but selectors may go to world cup with specialist keepers only as they have picked 4 specialst keepers.(I remember that England has taken 2 wicket keepers in 96' world cup,both Jack Russail and Stewart playing in final XI.)Again there is no chance for opening and last minute strike of yusuf closed the door for u.Irfan:I dont know whether u are playing in Ranji Trophy or not and what is your current form.But u should be their in the squad.I dont know what the selector are thinking about the final XI.The WC is going to be on feb-march-april when the first class season in subcontinent will be almost over and pitches will be dusty having low bounce(except mohali,ahmedabad).It is interesting whether MSD will pick 2 or 3 seamers.But if he pick 2 spinners,then we really miss u pathan. If one seamer will get hammering I dont know who will be going to bowl between powerplays.Keepers:There are 3 keepers(except MSD) and I think if any one eligible for final 15 he will be parthiv.I  dont know why wridhimaan saha has been picked for SA tour.Spinners:There are 5 spinners in the squad and I think all 4 except Chawla has a chance to make for the WC.Seamers:There are 7 seamers and i think 4 will make it to WC.Only zaheer has confirmed his place yet.SA tour will be decider for nehera/sreesanth/ishant.The selection is overall good.I dont know much about Rahane(only had read his name in newspaper).There is going to be a strong competition in between Vijay and Parthiv for 3rd opener.SHOCKED:I am really shocked about selection of Jadeja as there are sehwag/pathan/raina/yuvraj to free arms if required.I request selectors not to pick him.And finally am waiting for mid january when final 15 will be declared
